Byrner comming to Laoise????
I was in contact with Byrner from Epic Club. He would be willing to come down to us to give us a few pointers. From bike set up to Training Plans. The cost would be 20Euro per head ,for bout three hours or so. Saturdays suit him at the moment cause of EPIC BLAST . I would say we would have to have a few people there to make it worth his while comming . I think this would be a great opportunity for both experienced and new-commers to benefit from his experience. If anyone is interested let me know and I can get organising it

Re: Byrner comming to Laoise????
I would be interested,
But for everyone to benefit, would it be the case that beginners would feel more comfortable in their own group and intermediate with theirs... etc.
Byrner is doing Beginners couching spins in Wicklow at the minute or I've seen posts on the Epic forum and it might be the way to go.
Myself I would prefer to go to a different location and get the training while riding a different trail.

Depending on the weekend I'd like a bit of coaching, I reckon it'd be best at a different location to what I'm used to; I tend to be at my worst on unknown tracks

I think if byner has a particular location that he feels is best suited to teaching then we should go there.

I would be interested too...
Sat would probably be better, morning or evening doesn't matter to me..
On the venue.. Would have to be local in my opinion... and open to all members, if any of us are going to improve we need to be out cycling with the stronger members of the club..
If Richie is interested in coming to us that's fine by me.. If it's local we'll get more members out and therefore more money for him... 20 members x €20= a nice saturday mornings work I'm sure he'd be happy with that..I know I would

Re: Byrner comming to Laoise????
guys
while i understand that the newbies may hold back the more experienced riders, I still think going as a group will be a good team-building exercise for us all and in some areas we can all learn from each other, esp where us newbies might pick up some potentially bad habits from you old boys, they can be knocked on the head.
There is also no reason why we can't have 2/3 skill level groups with one group practicing a skill appropriate to that level while the next group is learning another.
And as Del said above it's only with going out with others that we learn and improve.....
